One of the hardest areas for divers and dive professionals to learn is calculating dive tables. Yet, it's vitally important to be able to properly plan your dives, or you risk getting decompression sickness - also known as "the bends" - a debilitating and even fatal consequence of improper dive planning.
FOR DIVERS
Many divers think that dive computers have replaced dive tables. Although dive computers are incredibly popular for dive planning, they are still a piece of technology that can fail. If your dive computer fails due to a low battery you still must be able to properly plan your dives. Plus many divers rent equipment or can't afford dive computers right away. So, the dive tables will be with us for a long time!
FOR PRO'S
This is the very reason why when you become a PADI Divemaster or a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor you MUST know how to work dive tables. For divemasters, you will be helping divers plan their dives - often using dive tables. And for instructors, you will need to know how to teach dive tables to your students. Because of these duties and responsibilities of dive professionals, PADI will test you on both dive tables and decompression theory.
DON'T FAIL YOUR EXAMS!
No one, at any level of scuba diving instruction, wants to fail their exams. And dive tables and decompression theory is an area that both divers and pro's often fail on their exams. It is not only embarrassing, but at the pro level it can be time consuming and costly.
THIS TUTORIAL TO THE RESCUE!
The Mastering Dive Tables and Decompression Theory course is designed for every level of diver to let you:
- Properly plan all type of dives
- Avoid hours of supplemental lectures, reading and calculations
- Pass your quizzes and exams with flying colors
- Avoid the embarrassment, expense and time of failing your exams
PACKAGES FOR EVERY LEVEL
There are three bundled packages of the Mastering Dive Tables and Decompression Theory course to choose from:
DIVER PACKAGE (THIS PACKAGE)
In this bundle you will receive just the tutorials on how to use the PADI Recreational Dive Planner (RDP). This includes step-by-step instructions on how to calculate over 30 types of dive table questions.
Pro Package
In the Pro Package bundle, you'll get everything in the Diver Package PLUS you get the Decompression Theory modules. These include lessons on the history of decompression theory, gas laws, decompression models, halftimes, m-values, and decompression sickness. You will also receive a downloadable Study Guide with key terms and definitions of items often found on exams.
Pro Deluxe Package
The Pro Deluxe Package bundle contains everything in both the Diver Package and the Pro Package PLUS you get an entire course on how to use the PADI eRDPml. This is the PADI electronic Recreational Dive Planner multi-level. You will receive step-by-step instructions on how to use the eRDPml and how to apply it to dive planning - especially calculating multi-level dives. Again, this is an area that both PADI Divemasters and Instructors will be tested on. The Pro Deluxe Package also includes 50 practice exam questions similar to those seen on leadership exams.
Select the package that is best for you!
